The Mizutani Table in steel and glass was originally designed to be built in wood. It is the result of the Bauhaus experience, in 1927, of the Japanese student Takehiko Mizutani: a bold fusion between traditional Japanese design and Germanic functionalism.
The Mizutani Table has a base composed of four chrome-plated steel tubes connected to each other by a black or coloured aluminium cast joint (6%).
The base consists of four chrome-plated steel tubes and a central joint in cast aluminium, painted black.
The round glass top is 15 mm thick ("float crystal" from Saint Gobain).
Also 15 mm extra-clear glass.
Also tempered top.
