How we operate
I Grandi Maestri del Design Srl operates through "direct sale" to the customer: the 40% gross discount (special price) is also extended to the end-consumer.
Every single item is produced to order in the finishes requested by each customer.
This is a totally italian production, implemented by italian artisans.
At the La Spezia showroom, the customer can check the quality standards and the fidelity to the original design of the Masters.
Price quote
The estimate can be requested by e-mail or by fax, giving personal details (telephone number included) and the essential data (article codes, finishing, quantities) of the required products.
Order validity
Unless otherwise agreed, orders are valid 30 days
Deliveries to European Union Clients
Prices exclude VAT and transport charge.
V.A.T. - Value Added Tax
22% will be charged to EU clients not holding own valid VAT registration number.
Transport charge in Italy
The prices are ex works (Siena Italy).
For clients wishing the delivery to their premises in Italy (street level), a 9,00% charge on the order amount will be applied, min. 75,00 with the exception of the tables whose minimums vary according to the tops size.
Deliveries to islands and mountain countries : an 40 euros extracharge will be applied.
Transport charges for neighboring E.U. Countries
For deliveries to neighboriwith E.U.Countries such as France, Principality of Monaco, Austria and Slovenia a 10,00% charge on the order amount will be applied ,min 110,00 euros with the exception of the tables whose minimums vary according to the tops size.
Deliveries to islands and mountain countries : an 60 euros extracharge will be applied. For deliveries to Corsica, the cost of transport will be calculated from time to time.
Transport charges for other E.U. Countries
For the other E.U. Countries the transport charge will be calculated from time to time.
Deliveries to outside E.U. Countries
Switzerland:
The client can require delivery:
- TO A C.I.F. CUSTOMS WAREHOUSE IN BEDANO (CIF = custom duties to be paid) for a charge of 9,00% of the order amount, with a minimum of 75,00 euros with the exception of the tables whose minimums vary according to the tops size.
- TO HIS OWN PREMISES (street level), incurring a charge for shipping costs of 10,00% of the order amount, with a minimum of 110,00 euros with the exception of the tables whose minimums vary according to the tops size.
As far as Italy Switzerland customs fees are concerned, a flat rate charge of 130,00 euros per shipment must be considered.
The client will pay VAT in Switzerland, (8,1% of the shipment amount) directly to the courier.
Other Countries
The shipping charges will be established from time to time.
Method of delivery and responsibilities of the parties
The shipment is made by courier end the delivery is to the street level of the customer address. For packages over 50 Kg the delivery will be instead "truck side". The discharge with hydraulic tailgate is estimated only when requested. Porterage is not carried out on the floors and assembly.
Transport risks are borne by "I Grandi Maestri del Design", but it is the client responsibility to verify the integrity of the packaging: in case of packaging damage, the customer may request the courier - only in this case - to open the packaging in his presence: if the courier refuses to wait for your verification, it is necessary to write on the transport document "it is accepted subject to control as the package appears ..". For fragile products we recommend always accepting "subject to verification" even if everything seems to be in place. Only by placing this reserve, can be activated the insurance coverage. In the event of damaged goods, the customer is required to notify us within 24 hours of receipt of the goods, attaching photos of the damage.
The return of the damaged goods can only be carried out in it’s original packaging which must therefore be kept until verified.
Delivery terms

Payment
deliveries to Italie :
- at the moment of the order : 30% deposit by bank transfer or by Paypal (taxes at the client’s expense)
- settlement : by bank transfer or by PayPal when the goods are ready for the delivery (taxes at the client’s expense).
