Lamp de table - des. Pierre Chareau, 1928

Table lamp, designed by Pierre Chareau, with brass base and stem and chrome finish, black metal hat, chain ignition. It is 40 centimeters high, it occupies 46 cm in width.
As exponent of international style, Pierre Chareau was able to combine the lines of Art Deco with the spirit of modern functionalism with French mastery and taste. Among his most famous works in architecture stands out the Glass House (Maison de verre), built between 1928 and 1932 in Paris, with extensive and at times innovative use of glass block for the walls of the building, combined with exposed structural elements in steel. In interior design, the designer from Bordeaux was particularly influenced by Le Corbusier: his furniture are characterized by clean lines and tasteful details such as the Lamp de Table presented in 1928.
