Florence Knoll revolutionized the standards of the modern post-war American office both as an entrepreneur, directing the work of architects such as Eero Saarinen, Mies Van der Rohe, Marcel Breur, Harry Bertoia, Isamu Noguchi, and as a designer with her ingenious creations.
Florence Knoll proposes a precise aesthetic recognizable as the "Knoll look", an americanized rationalism of unostentatious elegance that she describes as the "Bauhaus approach": she replaces the desks with tables without containers, so that they can be transformed into meeting tables if necessary and offers managerial offices that include sofas and armchairs placed on bright carpets in the presence of plants and flowers since the visitor must be welcomed into a luxurious living room rather than a cold office.

The Florence office table with laminate top, design by Florence Knoll, has chromed base consists of four aluminum spokes and steel with a central steel column.
The MDF top is 2,5 cm. thick and is beveled edge finished; it is white or black "liquid laminate" laquered (a hard lacquer with scratch-proof and spot-proof characteristics). The top rest on a Mdf under-top able to join top and base, to be fixed by means of screws.
